Originally from Argentina, Sofía is a senior nail technician with over 10 years of experience in the nail industry. Her career began in the broader beauty field, where she trained and worked as a makeup artist, lash lift technician, brow artist, and beautician. Over time, her passion for nails led her to specialise exclusively in nail care and design.
Sofía continues to train regularly, staying updated with the latest international techniques through professional education in Argentina, Spain, London, and North America. Her work is guided by a deep respect for the natural health of the nail, combining aesthetic beauty with professional knowledge. She is also qualified as a phlebotomist and laboratory technician, which enhances her understanding of biosecurity, sterilisation protocols, and nail tissue health.
Today, Sof Nails NZ is known in Hamilton for offering natural-looking, thin, and long-lasting nails with a refined and precise approach. The studio is a reflection of Sofía’s personal ethics: clean, minimalist, and committed to health. She exclusively uses vegan products and actively educates her clients on how to maintain strong, healthy nails between visits.

Gel polish
At Sof Nails NZ, you will find high-quality gel polish services using only premium and vegan products available in the nail industry. Each application is carefully crafted to ensure durability and a refined, natural finish. The gel is cured under a professional lamp, meaning it dries instantly with no risk of smudging. This service typically lasts between 4 to 5 weeks, depending on nail care and lifestyle. However, I recommend a refresh every 3 to 4 weeks to maintain the health of your natural nails and the flawless appearance of your manicure.
Pedicure
Pedicure at Sof Nails NZ is a meticulous and hygienic treatment that prioritises precision and care. This method avoids soaking, allowing for a more controlled and detailed approach—ideal for achieving a clean, long-lasting, and well-groomed finish. The service includes thorough cuticle work, nail shaping, and the application of high-quality gel polish. If needed, BIAB may be recommended to improve the structure of the toenail, while acrylic enhancements are also available at an additional cost. This is a premium pedicure experience tailored to support nail health while delivering elegant, flawless results.
BUILDER IN A BOTTLE (BIAB)
At Sof Nails NZ, I exclusively use the original Builder in a Bottle (BIAB™) by The Gel Bottle Inc – a high-performance product designed to strengthen and protect your natural nails. BIAB is not intended for extensions; instead, it works as a structured overlay to support natural nail growth. This service is especially ideal for those with damaged or bitten nails, offering a restorative journey that typically shows visible results after two consistent sets. BIAB has the look of gel polish but provides superior strength, allowing your nails to grow healthily and beautifully. It lasts approximately 3 to 5 weeks, depending on individual lifestyle and nail care. I recommend a infill every 3 to 4 weeks to maintain structure and support long-term results

At Sof Nails NZ, every set can be elevated with unique, hand-painted nail art. Designs can be added to any of the services offered and range from minimalist styles to more complex and realistic artwork. Sofía specialises in freehand designs and enjoys drawing inspiration from her clients' ideas, reference images, or seasonal trends. However, she has plenty of options as decals, crystals, gems or even charms to add as designs. She also loves when clients give her creative freedom to craft something truly personal and tailored to their preferences. Pricing for nail art varies depending on the complexity, style, and time required.
Sculpted Acrylics extensions
Acrylic extensions are an excellent option for those seeking added length, especially for clients with bitten or weakened nails. At Sof Nails NZ, I use a refined sculpting technique – no plastic tips – to create a natural, elegant finish that is both durable and seamless. My approach is based on advanced training from three specialised courses taken across the globe, and I work exclusively with premium acrylic systems from the United States, recognised as pioneers in the Acrylics nail industry. The result is a strong, refined extension with a naturally enhanced look, lasting approximately 3 to 4 weeks. An infill is recommended every 3 weeks, and a new full set is advised after every two infills to maintain optimal structure and appearance. For clients on a nail recovery journey, acrylics are a powerful first step. Once the natural nails have regained strength and length, we often transition to Builder in a Bottle (BIAB) for continued growth and health.
Gift vouchers
A thoughtful way to treat someone special Gift vouchers are available in both physical and digital format and can be redeemed for any service offered at Sof Nails NZ. Physical vouchers can be collected in person, while digital versions can be conveniently sent via email. All vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Vouchers must be used towards salon services only and cannot be exchanged for cash or receive cash change if not fully redeemed

Booking policy
At Sof Nails NZ, each appointment is carefully prepared to offer you a personalised and relaxing experience. To help everything run smoothly, please take a moment to read the booking policy below: Deposit Requirement To confirm your booking, a 50% of the full quote amount deposit is required. This will go towards the total cost of your appointment on the day. Please note: All deposits are non-refundable, including in the case of cancellations. Cancellations & Rescheduling I completely understand that unexpected situations can come up. If you need to cancel, please let me know at least 72 hours in advance. While your deposit won’t be refunded, it can be carried over to a future appointment if rescheduled properly. You’re welcome to reschedule your appointment up to two times without losing your deposit, as long as you give 48 to 72 hours’ notice. For anything last-minute, just get in touch as soon as you can — I’ll do my best to help. Late Arrivals I completely understand that delays can happen. If you're running late, please get in touch with me as soon as possible via text or call. Depending on the type of service booked, there’s usually a 10–15 minute flexibility window. If you arrive later than this, I may not be able to complete your full appointment, or it might need to be rescheduled. This is to ensure the service is delivered to the standard you expect and to avoid delays for the next client. Before your appoitment
Removal of Previous Work If there is existing product from another salon, it must be mentioned when booking the appointment—either by selecting the removal option in the booking system or by contacting directly. Each removal requires specific time, and not noting it in advance may affect the appointment duration and service. Bitten or Damaged Nails If nails are bitten or damaged, they can absolutely be treated. As a specialist in nail health, I use advanced techniques to rebuild and improve the condition of natural nails with care and precision.
Hygiene & Safety
Clean tools and kind products Each tool is thoroughly cleaned and sterilized between appointments to ensure a high level of hygiene. Wherever possible, single-use or client-specific tools are used for extra care. All products used are vegan and cruelty-free—gentle on nails, kind to animals, and better for everyone.
Sof Nails NZ is located at 5 Kibblewhite Road, Greenhill Park, Hamilton. Please note: access to the salon is via Ogilvie Road, through the side entrance where you’ll see the Sof Nails logo and a walkway leading up to the door. 🅿️ The most convenient place to park is directly in front of the Ogilvie Road entrance, where there is a small island with public parking. This spot can occasionally be full during peak times, so we recommend arriving a few minutes early in case you need to find alternative parking nearby. The area is quiet, safe, and easy to navigate — perfect for a relaxing appointment.
